Jennifer is such an amazing photographer.

I've had her work on 4 different projects each with unique personalities. Three were business portrait sessions and one was family portraits. Each time, she captured the true person inside that was ready to be seen. When it was finally my turn to be photographed for my new business, my first reaction to the results was "Yes, this is what it feels like to be me!" I recommend her for any type of photo work when authenticity is one of the major goals! ~

As an Interior Designer I spent hours going through my wardrobe trying to imagine the shots. But the beauty of letting people do what they do best is allowing them to be in their zone and Jennifer was! While I was being made up she confidently chose from my clothing items without even seeing them on me. Within moments of being behind the camera Jennifer had my full trust. Such a pleasurable experience!

We asked Jennifer to take my daughter's senior high school photos. My daughter has always been uncomfortable in front of the camera for posed pictures. I thought Jennifer may be able to put my daughter at ease and capture her truer essence. Jennifer did that and so much more. She suggested doing an outside photo shoot, instead of the in-studio which is more formal. The outdoor setting at the beach, downtown Alameda and in a quiet neighborhood was just perfect for who my daughter is. Taking pictures with our small dog? Jennifer said okay because it's such a big part of my daughter's life. Jennifer even made the dog look good in the photos. So grateful to Jennifer for her creative energy, flexibility and encouragement all throughout the process! ~

I needed a new head shot for my professional website and for online profiles. I wanted to get it done right this time. I found Jennifer on Yelp, and once I checked out her website, I knew she was just right. Great choice. Right from the start, Jennifer was so easy to work with just setting up the best time and coordinating with my hair and makeup appointments. She's very professional and organized, but also very pleasant to work with. She was also completely tuned into me, and what I wanted from this. She really listens and pays attention. I was a bit anxious about the whole thing, since i usually feel so awkward and uncomfortable in front of the camera. But I felt completely at ease with Jennifer; she is so warm and encouraging. Much to my surprise, I actually enjoyed the whole shoot. As for the result: I LOVE my new photos!! These are absolutely the best photos of me I've ever had! I was reluctant about getting head shots done for my new business.

It seemed so self-indulgent. Plus I believe myself to be wildly un-photogenic. But once Jennifer and I started "creating" together (as she calls it - a totally apt description), and giggling our heads off, I forgot what we were there to do. I had a blast and could have stayed for far longer than the hour it took. She first worked with me to set an intention for the shoot - what did I want the photos to convey? It was a perfect way to set the space. She relaxed me completely, made me laugh, reminded me to breathe, and had me shift my body in subtle ways that made all the difference both in how I felt and how the pictures turned out. The afternoon left me in the lightest mood I'd been in in awhile. Jennifer's gift is not only taking photos, but also bringing forth the part of a person that glows. I felt it in the session and then saw it in the pictures -- which, after a session like that, weren't going to turn out bad. She ended up sending me 111 brilliant shots from which to choose 3 (I'm still choosing). Sooooo, if you're seeking a photo shoot that doesn't feel like a photo shoot, and for photos that convey the most essential you, get yourself to Jennifer Graham's studio (and say hi to her adorable cat Gia for me). ~

Jennifer quite simply ROCKS!

Not only is she a completely gifted, talented, creative and awesome photographer, she is so much fun to be around that she increases the fun value at any event. Everyone is always smiling around her and they feel at ease in front of her camera because she makes you feel like the most beautiful creature ever. And because of her very skilled eye to find the beauty in everything, and her sweet nature, she actually succeeds in capturing the fullness of beauty in all of her subjects in her stunning photographs. My only regret is that I met her AFTER my wedding! Fortunately though I've been able to work/play with her for many other events and she always surpasses expectations! ~
